As a symbol of hospitality and welcome into our village, you will be served fresh banana juice and roasted coffee beans, offering your first taste of Uganda’s rich local flavors.
Enjoy a guided walk through our Medicinal Garden, where you’ll discover the healing power of Uganda’s indigenous plants, herbs, and spices. Learn how local communities have used these natural remedies for generations while hearing the fascinating stories behind each plant. This interactive experience invites you to ask questions, touch the plants, and even taste some of the herbs along the way.
After the Medicinal Garden Trail, enjoy a scenic 15-minute walk to a historic village well that has served the community for over 200 years. Along the way, you’ll pass through local homesteads and small village farms, offering a glimpse into everyday rural life and traditional economic activities. Your guide will share stories about the cultural importance of communal water collection and how the well has remained a central meeting point for generations—making this walk both a peaceful and enriching cultural experience.
After returning from the village well, relax and enjoy a refreshing tasting of locally sourced indigenous fruits. Savor the natural sweetness of Uganda’s fresh produce—from sweet bananas and juicy watermelon to ripe jackfruit and freshly cut sugarcane.
